Space Girl 3000 - Sound Designer

Last year during the production of The Universe of Matt Miles, I took it upon myself to do the sound design myself, and it turned out horribly. After finishing my house mate Dan Dunkley asked me if he could do the sound design for it, so I let him. After working with him on that one I decided there and then that I would ask him to do the sound design for my end of year animation, and discussed the music for each of my animation ideas.

When I decided on Space Girl 3000 to be my end of year animation I consulted Dan about what kind of song would fit the settings. At first I suggested some form of Synthpop track to play through out it, however he didn't think it would suit the animation due to its pacing. I then suggested doing an Electro Swing style track and then it went down well.

After a month of work he then presented to me an example of what the animations music would be like;

I was happy with the song, however while working on the animatic I then suggested changing the genre of song to a 32-bit style song, to fit with the space theme. I presented to him an example of what I was looking for and he seemed to be on board with the idea, the song I showed him was "Casino Night Zone"

Now that I have finished the Animatic Dan is now doing the song for the animation.
