Michael Anderson’s Logan’s Run is one of many science fiction films I watched, the film was mainly shot in a futuristic utopia in which has various futuristic devices and gadgets. Though the plot of the film itself didn’t appeal to me, the atmosphere really did. It is a perfect example of a retro future; huge futuristic looking buildings, access to teleportation in your living room, transportation to one building to the next etc.
The thing that appealed to me the most was the design of minor things, such as walls, cars, gadgets and even outfits. Everything was designed to have a futuristic feel to it, which is something I want to try and do in my animation, no matter how minor.
